When you get a custom spot, you get access to my studio, my full leather stash, my experience with leather and construction, and perhaps most importantly: me and my design brain.
You get to see things that aren’t available in the regular shop. There are special leathers that I keep specifically for customs, new pieces that find their way into my studio along the way, and sometimes even tiny pieces of old favourites that have been sitting on a shelf waiting for the right project.
And yes, if you remember one of those old, old Bujoplanner leathers from years ago, you can always ask.
I might still have a piece hiding somewhere.

Whether you know exactly what you want or just have an idea
Full-on custom pieces are for both.
Maybe you’re one of those people who comes prepared.
You already know the size you want. You know exactly which leather you’ve been dreaming about. You have your pocket layout figured out, you’ve thought about every little detail, and you’ve probably already mentally designed the entire cover.
I love those orders. Bring it all to me.
We’ll go through your ideas, make sure everything works from a construction point of view, and turn that vision into a real Bujoplanner.
But maybe you’re on the other end of the spectrum.
You have a few ideas. You know what you need your cover to do. You might know that you want to carry your planner, notebook, cards, and a few everyday essentials together, but you don’t quite know what the finished cover should look like.
That’s where we can work together.
They say my superpower is making decision-making simple. 😂
And while your idea doesn’t have to be completely figured out, and the possibilities are pretty much endless, I’ll make it my mission to take the overwhelm out of it.
You bring me your needs, your lifestyle, your inspiration and all your “would it be possible to…?” ideas, and I’ll bring my experience, design knowledge and years of making these covers.
We’ll exchange pictures and videos. I’ll show you possibilities. You can show me things you’ve seen or imagined. We’ll move things around, change things, try different ideas, and work out what will be both beautiful and functional.
And sometimes you will come to me with an idea I’ve never made before.
Those are my favourite.
Because that’s when we get to figure something out together.

You don’t have to choose between being creative yourself and letting me guide you.
You get to do both.
I have made enough covers over the years to know that sometimes the thing you think you need isn’t actually the best solution.
Sometimes a small change in construction makes something much more comfortable to use. Sometimes a pocket needs to be moved, changed, doubled, shortened, or completely reimagined. Sometimes you need a different leather to achieve the functionality you want.
And sometimes your crazy idea is actually brilliant.
The goal is never to make something unusual just for the sake of being unusual.
I want your cover to be beautiful, personal, and genuinely useful.
We actually design it together
The custom process isn’t me sending you a form and then disappearing into the studio.
There is a conversation.
We exchange pictures and videos. You show me what you’re currently using, how you carry your things, or what you’re trying to achieve. You can send me inspiration and sketches. I can show you different leathers, constructions, and examples from previous covers.
We talk.
We adjust.
We sometimes change our minds.
And little by little, the cover that was only an idea starts becoming something real.
And then there are the leathers…
This might be my favourite part.
With a full-on-custom, you have access to my entire leather stash. Not just the leathers currently listed in the shop. Not just the ones I’ve selected for a particular semi-custom round.
The stash.
Smooth leathers, nubucks, soft leathers, textured ones, metallics, colours that I bought because I couldn’t resist them…
Sometimes we just start with the colours you love, and then I show you the leathers I have and how each of them feels and acts differently.
And then there are the special pieces that are reserved for custom work.
I’m always adding something new too, so the selection is constantly changing.
Sometimes I’ll pull out a piece and think, oh, this would be absolutely perfect for that idea we were talking about.
And sometimes you will remember a leather from three years ago that you saw on my Instagram.
Ask me.
There is a surprisingly good chance I might still have a little piece tucked away somewhere.
There are LOTS of possibilities
Over the years I’ve made covers with all sorts of pocket configurations, card slots, secretarial pockets, outside pockets, multiple leathers, unusual layouts, different elastic placements, and all kinds of little details.
There are many, many possibilities to play with.
The ordering form already has lots of possibilities and options in it. But you are always welcome to bring your own ideas.
If you’ve seen something somewhere that made you think, I wonder if we could do this…? Tell me.
If you’ve drawn something on a piece of paper, send it.
If you have an idea that I’ve never made before, even better.
We’ll look at it together and figure out what is possible, what will work well with leather, and what construction will make the most sense.
Sometimes the answer will be exactly what you imagined.
Sometimes I’ll suggest a little change.
And sometimes we’ll come up with something completely different that works even better.
That’s the fun of it.
So how does the full-on-custom process actually work?
I keep the process fairly simple on your end.
1. You purchase a custom spot
Full-on-custom spots are released as waiting-list spots.
One spot gives you the opportunity to order up to two custom pieces, including wallet or folder inserts.
The spot price is €100, and this amount is deducted from the final price of your cover or covers.
2. You wait for your turn
The first few people on the list will usually receive their email within a matter of days.
I work through the list in batches, and my goal is to contact everyone within around 4 months.
During particularly busy periods, it can take up to 6 months.
And there is an important little detail here:
The waiting time is for your turn to enter the custom process, not necessarily for your cover to be designed.
Once you receive your email, things can move quite quickly.
If you already know exactly what you want, you can start right away.
If you have an idea and want to work through the possibilities with me, we’ll take the time to figure it out together.
And I’ll share a little secret with you.
When you finally get your perfect creation in your hands, you’ll know the wait was worth it.
3. You get access to the custom materials
You’ll receive an email with links to videos showing the available leathers.
This is where you can start dreaming.
Or, if you’re like me, probably start changing your mind approximately seventeen times. 😂
4. We talk through your ideas
You’ll also receive your special custom ordering form.
But before you place the final order, you’re welcome to ask questions, discuss ideas and figure out the details with me.
This is where we turn “I want something like this” into an actual design.
5. Your cover becomes real
Once we’ve figured everything out, you place the order for your custom piece.
Then it’s my turn to take all those conversations, measurements, leather choices, and tiny details and turn them into an actual piece of leather that you can hold in your hands.
And this is always my favourite part.
Because no matter how many covers I make, there is still something very satisfying about seeing a completely new combination come together for the first time.
How much does a full-on-custom cover cost?
There isn’t one fixed price for a full-on custom cover.
The final price depends on the size, leather, construction, and all the details we decide to include.
As a general starting point, custom covers are around €160 and up, depending on the size and design.
They are more expensive than my ready-to-ship and semi-custom covers, and that’s intentional.
You’re not simply choosing from something I’ve already designed.
You’re getting access to my entire studio, a much wider selection of materials, custom-only leathers, my time and experience, and a collaborative design process where we create something specifically for you.
